Prayer Fest 2017: Identity
April 8, 2017

One of the biggest challenges today for youth members of the Vietnamese Alliance Church today is finding their true identity in Jesus Christ. Recognizing this, the Vietnamese Alliance Church of Harrisburg English Ministry hosted an event called Prayer Fest 2017: Identity. The event united more than 8 English Ministries within the Northeast of the United States. Utilizing the one of the greatest gifts and powers that the Lord Jesus Christ provides to His followers, the event heavily promoted the power of prayers. Moreover, the VAC of HBG English Ministry Leadership Team provided opportunities for youth members of the Northeast to fellowship, connect, collaborate, and worship in unity. During this event, youth members engaged in creative sessions, discussion time, physical activities, open mic praise, and praise & worship. Finally, a message was given by the guest speaker Dr. Pusey Losch, Pastor of Mountain View Community Church. Through this event, participants were answering the question, “Who I am in Jesus Christ?” By the grace of God, many members were blessed by the event and some attendees considered the event as “a retreat for the servants of the Lord.” A praise leader in Living Hope Ministry from Philadelphia PA summarized the event with the following statement: “We were so blessed by event from the beginning to the end, from the food, the sessions to the message, especially the opportunity to worship together with the Harrisburg Praise Team.”
